Now your probably wondering what is The Brampton Garbage Problem? Well what it is a group of people trying to make a difference in Brampton, the difference we are trying to make is to make the city of Brampton to get recycling in parks and bus stops.

The city of Brampton has been contacted for further information below is a copy of the email sent to us,

Thank you for your email on recycling in parks. For your information our department has been working with the Region of Peel on improving our program of recycling in Parks. At all our large sports parks we have teamed 90 litre recycling containers with our deep waste containers throughout each site in multiple locations. Also at major parks such as Gage Park and Chinguacousy Park and all our recreation facilities recycling containers are available for the public to use.

During every special event put on by the City of Brampton, recycling containers are a part of our waste collection system. In the near future we will be taking delivery of a new style of recycling container to be used on at multiple Canada Past super mailboxes in place of the blue "Clean and Green" containers. You may have noticed that many of our City Bus Shelters have a recycling component integrated into the rear of each new bench installation.

We are currently looking into a durable steel container that will handle both waste and recyclables that we use to augment or replace the blue "Clean and Green" containers that are found throughout many of our parks and boulevards.

Well this is very nice how ever recently the city of Brampton has purchased new garbage cans for Chinguacousy park THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY RECYCLING BUILT IN TO THEM!  How ever we will acknowledge that the City of Brampton has installed many benches at bus stops that have recycling built in weather or not the recycibles are being recycled is any ones guess.
